Christmas Newsletter 2019

Welcome everyone,  to the December Newsletter and the last one of 2019! Thank you for your continued support of DJ Pilates and Fitness over the last year.

‘It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!’

We can’t do everything! Can we?

It’s that time of year again when we try to juggle a busy day to day life, with the added sprinkle of Christmas demands. Whether you have children or not, this time of year gets busy. It’s Christmas plays, and work parties. Then there is late night shopping, visiting family and the time for yourself sinks lower to the bottom of that never ending list.

We understand that.

We know how difficult it is to manage and meet all the demands this time of year brings, that’s why we are asking you to push that button and join us for 2020.

Make that commitment to yourself, that in the New Year you are going to look after number 1, because if you aren’t looking after yourself, then who is going to be strong enough to look after everyone else?

Don’t make it all Pie and Lattes!

Christmas is coming and we are all faced with tempting food and drinks wherever we turn. But, stop and think – you have spent the whole year coming to class to make a better you! Enjoy Christmas goodies, but in moderation!

Make it Pilates and Longevity!
Join us for a Christmas class to keep that core in trim, and follow that up with some tasty, yet healthy snacks! Graze on veggies and dried fruit or nuts. Much better for the budget and belt! Don’t undo all that hard work, think about your health long term!
Here’s 8 tips to keep you in shape over Christmas!
  1. Keep moving – try that favourite pilates exercise at home, keep that flexibility going!
  2. Be the man or woman with a plan. And hydrate. Drink lots of water, and plan it into the day. Your body will thank you for it!
  3. Make lists, exercise early and sleep. Set the alarm to get you up early, but don’t forget to get to bed early too, as much and as often as you can.
  4. Expect the unexpected. Plans are good, but life doesn’t always go to plan, be ready for anything!
  5. Be creative and get rid of ‘all or nothing’ mindsets. Fit in exercise – even just for five minutes every day, something is better than nothing!
  6. Plan – and remember there is always time and opportunity for a workout. Meet up with friends and go for a brisk walk, or try a few pilates exercises and have a laugh along the way!
  7. Indulge for a night, not a season. Everything in moderation!
  8. Remember it’s a single day!
